Construction of the heat insulation of the concrete surface of flat roofs made of mineral wool along with application of «Autocryn»® materials
Construction of the heat insulation of the concrete surface of flat roofs is to be performed by taking into account the requirements of the standard documents:
- Design
- SNiP 3.04.01-98 «Insulating and decorative coatings»
- SNB 2.02.01 «Fire and technical classification of buildings, civil structures and materials»
- SNB 2.04.01 «Construction heat engineering»
- SNB 5.08.01-2000 «Roofs. Technical requirements and rules of acceptance»
- Typical process chart for construction and repair of soft roofs along with application of «Autocryn» mastic TTK-65/01-2003
- Existing rules of the labour protection and fire safety measures.
Construction of the heat insulation of the concrete surface without the use of mechanical fastening to the concrete base foresees application of:
- «Autocryn» primer TY RB 14511885.001-98,
- «Autocryn» mastic TY RB 14511885.001-98,
- heat insulation materials PAROC, NOBASIL, ROCKWOOL, ISOVER
The process of the heat insulation construction includes the following stages:
- surface preparation
- priming of the base
- priming of the mineral wool slab
- construction of the adhesive layer on the concrete base
- construction of the adhesive layer on the mineral wool base
- gluing the mineral wool slab to the base
1. Surface preparation.
The heat insulated surfaces are to be prepared in accordance with the requirements of:
- SNiP 3.04.01-98 «Insulating and decorative coatings»
- Process chart for construction and repair of soft roofs along with application of «Autocryn» mastic TTK-65/01-2003
2. Priming of the base.
«Autocryn» primer is to be applied by means of painting tools, the air or airless spraying.
- Material consumption — 0.8 kg/m2
- Time of drying at ambient temperature 15-20 °C — 3.0-6.0 hours.
3. Priming of the mineral wool slab.
«Autocryn» primer is to be applied by means of painting tools, the air or airless spraying.
- Material consumption — 1.2 kg/m2
- Time of drying at ambient temperature 15-20 °C — 3.0-6.0 hours.
4. Construction of the adhesive layer on the concrete base.
Construction of the adhesion layer is to be performed by applying 2 sublayers of «Autocryn» mastic by means of painting tools or airless spraying
- Material consumption for the 1st sublayer — 0.8 kg/m2
- Time of drying the 1st sublayer at ambient temperature 15-20 °C — 8.0-12.0 hours.
- The second layer is to be dried until «tack-free».
5. Construction of the adhesive layer on the surface of the mineral wool slab.
Construction of the adhesion layer is to be performed by applying 2 sublayers of «Autocryn» mastic by means of painting tools or airless spraying
- Material consumption for the 1st sublayer — 1.0 kg/m2
- Time of drying the 1st sublayer at ambient temperature 15-20 °C — 8.0-12.0 hours.
- Consumption of the material for the 2nd sublayer — 1.2 kg/m2
- The second layer is to be dried until «tack-free».
In order to reduce the time for fulfillment of works and obtaining the better connection of the base with the mineral wool slab, the simultaneous application of layers is recommended both on the concrete surface and onto the mineral wool slabs.
6. Gluing the slab to the base.
The mineral wool slab is to be placed with its treated surface onto the adhesive layer applied onto the base and rolled with the aid of the roller. The mass of the roller is to be determined in accordance with the strength of the used mineral wool slabs.
Time of reaching the fastening strength — 7 days.
The mastic layer between the base and the mineral wool slab is simultaneously steam insulating and adhesive. Its thickness is equal to 2-2.5 mm, resistance to steam impermeability — 3.38 m2hPa/mg.
The value of strength of the adhesive connection of the mineral wool slab with the base exceeds the strength limit of the heat insulation (mineral wool slab) at stretching.
